Our recycled hardwood tabletops are made from recycled timber sourced from Western Australian salvage yards. The timber is well aged and dried, making it very stable.
The timber type or species is either Jarrah or Karri. The colours of the timber range from a dark red to a very dark rust brown. Some timber (the karri) can have some golden flecks in the timber. Due to the age of the wood, the wood was harvested from old mature trees, long before the days of conservation. Timber from old trees is very heavy and dark, giving the recycled hardwood tabletops a unique colour and appearance.
Due to the nature and colour of this timber, the demand for these table tops is very high. Please order your tabletops well in advance of your final project completion date. We need time to source suitable material.
